  i don't suppose anyone knows for sure, but do we have any kind of hint of what would happen if all of the governing body members died at the same time- such that nobody was left to appoint successors?

  in lieu of any solid evidence, i'd also be interested in hearing some speculation based on what we already know about the organizational structure.. it would certainly throw a wrench in either the teaching that the faithful and discreet slave will survive into the great tribulation and/or the implied doctrine that the the gb succession arrangement is justifiable biblically.

  let me firmly disclaim any implication that i am encouraging violence or wishing death on the governing body.

  in my opinion, in a body of elders let’s say with 7 elders , 2 or 3 were pretty much on the ball.

  they were reasonable, intelligent and moderate.

  the others were either extremely extreme about everything or very liberal.. did you have qualified older men or were they all lousy to you?

  Most (90%) Elders, out of necessity, come across as leutenants, company men, yes-men and enforcers of WT's unscriptural doctrines. You'll see very few with genuine people skills or who excel in good-bedside-manners!

  david splane’s talk “put up a hard fight for the faith” was that last talk presented on the saturday of the annual convention.

  this talk was to largely address apostates and restated ideas and arguments often presented before.

  however, this year, watchtower is spending more time in disqualifying negative findings originating from secular courts and here is the segment of interest here: .

  The above quote is from the August 2021 WT BOE letter.

  These kind of specialized individuals normally make 6, 7 & up figure incomes. I think for 'Mother' to put out a formal call for this kind of muscle (that not even Jah can help her with) means she has some tough legal battles going on right now with a lot more to come in the near future!

  The way the Watchtower handles judgement is ---------THREE ELDERS, IN A SECRET MEETING, USUALLY AT NIGHT------WITH NO ONE TO REPRESENT THE VICTIMS
  ELDERS BECOME ---JUDGE-JURY, and EXECUTIONER. ----and that is not THE JUSTICE WAY OF JUDGING PEOPLE.

  Someone on exjw reddit posted this. I thought...how clever!🤣

  The WTBTS needs lawyers to survive & lawyers need crooked clients like the WTBTS to survive!

  WT wants the best of both worlds. They tell the rank & file 'thy shall not seek a higher education'!

  Then they say in this BOE letter:

  "10. Experienced & highly educated (words in bold mine) Attorneys and Paralegals Needed: Spiritually-qualified, licensed attorneys and paralegals do much to help accomplish the work at Bethel. (Phil. 1:7) There is a particular need for those who have experience in litigation, corporate matters, data protection, real estate transactions, or tax law. Experienced attorneys and paralegals who have exceptional analytical, research, and writing abilities contribute to the proper handling of legal matters and save on expenses that would otherwise have been incurred. (In some countries, this also includes notaries who are specialized legal practitioners authorized to act in certain legal matters.)

  11. If you know of exemplary publishers who have the needed skills and who might have the circumstances to assist with the work at Bethel on a part-time or full-time basis, please encourage them to submit an Application for Volunteer Program (A-19) along with a résumé. (sfl chap. 22 pars. 29-31) Help them to understand the privilege available to them and the joy and satisfaction they can experience by using their skills to advance Kingdom interests. We trust that you will use discretion in approaching publishers regarding this matter. Please note that we are not encouraging individuals to pursue higher education or uni-versity degrees to obtain specialized skills. Rather, we are interested in those who already have these skills and are willing to assist with the work at Bethel.—w13 10/15 pp. 15-16 pars. 13-14."
